Global Warming Conference

 

You have been part of a team of scientists studying changes in the world due to global climate change. You begin to work on analyzing your research in order to form a comprehensive report to present at the upcoming conference. Below you will find the questions you will need to answer, depending on what your specialization area is. 

 

Role:

You are a scientist from the ice caps. 

Your job is to answer the following questions:

·        What changes have been occurring with Earth’s important ice caps?

·        What role does global warming seem to have on the ice sheets and sea levels?

·        What are some of the predictions for the future if these trends continue?

·        What are some of the consequences?

 

You are a scientist from the desert. 

Your job is to answer the following questions:

·        What changes have been occurring with Earth’s deserts?

·        What role does global warming seem to have on the plants and animals in the desert?

·        What are some of the predictions for the future if these trends continue?

·        What are some of the consequences?

 

You are a scientist from the rainforest. 

Your job is to answer the following questions:

·        What changes have been occurring with Earth’s rainforest?

·        What role does global warming seem to have on the plants and animals in the rainforest?

·        What are some of the predictions for the future if these trends continue?

·        What are some of the consequences?

 

You are an Epidemiologist. 

Your job is to answer the following questions:

·        What changes has global warming caused on humans?

·        What changes are/could happen to human health?

·        What changes are happening to the economy?

·        What are some of the predictions for the future if these trends continue

·        What are some of the consequences?

 

Product:

As a team, you will have a conference and go over your answers to all of these questions. You will be video taping this report to help inform others of your findings. 

 

Using iMovie, you will create a video that will include:

·        A title page

·        At least 4 smooth transitions

·        Dialogue (conversation between two or more people, not just one person answering all of their questions alone)

·        A reference page at the end

·        All members appear in the video at least once
